Trend setter to specialize aesthetic treatments for our ethnic skin tones since 2004
I have worked as a registered nurse at Middle More Hospital for over 11 years. While I was at Middle More Hospital, I worked on a cancer ward which dealt with melanomas, neutropenic clients, and cancer suffering patients alongside hematologists, doctors and other medical professionals specializing in I.V, PICC lines and chemotherapy.
I also have had the experience of being on a medical ward where clients were admitted with chest infections, heart attacks, strokes, asthma, renal , diabetic problems and you can name any other medical conditions on this planet I have been part of it.
I have done numerous study days and partook in numerous case studies and research on various health related topics such as diabetes, cancer, CPR, palliative care, Pcos ( poly cystic ovarian syndrome) , women’s health etc, and I have been a Diabetic Resource Nurse since 1998 – 2006. This knowledge and background is complimenting the treatments and education that I offer today.
I have also been a presenter and speaker on local and National radio and Tv Programs. I have even presented at National and International conferences in regards to the aesthetic treatments for darker skin tones and medical conditions that affect our skin’s health and well being.
I developed my interests in the field of Appearance Medicine and cosmetic procedures since 2002. I have personally suffered from severe hirsutism ( female beard ) This is what made me change over from my nursing to being a skin and hair medical aesthetician because I was very overweight and suffered from Pcos (excessive male hormones) and beard with scarring and pimples. Yes BEARD you read it correctly. I couldn’t have kids and I went through a lot of physical and emotional torture, low self esteem and confidence.
I have personally been through all these treatments and can reassure clients that it is safe and I am personally very involved in providing a holistic approach to our valued clients. I am closely linked with medical specialists to whom I refer clients who are in need of further help in regards to their health and well being. I have attended and still attend national and international conferences, study days and education updates on a regular basis to update and keep pace with new techniques and technology.
I am trained and qualified in cosmetic procedures like Phlebotomy, laser, IPL, Microdermabrasion, skin care range, PRP treatments and skin needling and other cosmetic injectibles example fillers and antiwrinkles.
I have great knowledge of cosmetic and laser procedures and provide valuable information on the right skin care programme according to the individual and their skin type.
I have carved a niche in this Skin and Hair Industry as being the first Indian Registered Nurse to own and operate a laser clinic specialising for Ethnic Skin Tones in New Zealand. I can deal with 1-6 skin colour tones but my main focus is our ethnic skin tones.
Amax is my heart and soul. It’s my temple and here we conduct therapeutic treatments with love, honesty, care and trust.I am currently New Zealand’s most experienced laser technician. I am a great believer in high standards of practice with truth and honesty. At Amax we thrive to provide the best and the most advanced technologically advanced equipments and products to treat all skin types and issues or concerns. If I personally don’t feel safe with a treatment or procedure or product I do not provide for it in my clinic. My biggest rule of thumb is “if I will not recommend my kids to get the treatment or procedure that I am not comfortable with, I will not provide it at Amax.”
Today I have 3 beautiful kids who love the treatments from mummy and my caring husband who fulfills all my dreams and wishes and they support me every day in every manner possible in my quest to ensure my work flows with ease and peace that makes Amax the best!!!
